Could there be somthing wrong?
« on: March 10, 2010, 10:00:51 PM »
I have had Tyson for 2 years now. He was given to me  when he was barley 2 months and I was told he was not neutered. He was the biggest of the litter and looked almost twice as big as the other puppies. He turned 2yrs last month and I have noticed that his balls still have not dropped. Is this normal for a boxer dog his age? I have several friends with boxers as well and all the male that are his age and younger have gone through that maturity. Is this something that I should be concerned about. He shows absolutely no pain and his temperament is fine. Very energetic loving with kids and family and not dominate towards other male dogs or any other dogs.  Is this normal or should I be concerned there could be something wrong with hum? Please any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

Well I would have to say its time to go and get him neutered then! He will not be able to be bred with a female! My chihuahuas never dropped and the surgery is not the same as a regular neuter but they cut them on both sides of there stomach and do it that way!

Sonny, that picture is sooo freaky!! Tyson is the absolute double of our first Boxer, Zac. The colour, the expression on his face, his eyes and ears, it is like looking at a photo of Zac as a young dog!

Testicles should drop by the age of two months...   if one or none drop, I have been told that it is best to neuter as soon as possible as there is a greater chance of cancer when they are still in the abdomen.
